However, the specialty services are only provided several times each month (at the most) and on a fixed schedule. Severe emergencies are quickly air lifted out by MediVac to larger hospitals in Nashville, TN. The data confirming the need for outpatient mental health services together with a proposed plan could then be presented t \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 o\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 the Ascension Health board with a request for help. The local Ascension Health board would then need to advocate for Ascension Health to provide outpatient mental health services through the Hickman Medical Hospital or Hickman Medical Clinic. This would \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 p\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 rovide the most cost effective approach, as no new structure/building would have to be constructed and the qualified personnel could come from within the Ascension Health system. Even for those who have cars, the community needs to encourage physical activity and walking especially given the growing rate of obesity in the state. 3.) During the curren \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 t\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 economic times finances are tight (especially among the lower and middle class), and providing available options for residents to walk to obtain basic needs instead of driving could save families a great deal of money. \par \tab }{\rtlch\fcs1 \af1 \ltrch\fcs0 \i\f1\fs24\insrsid4588108\charrsid2298293 \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 Suggestions:\tab }{\rtlch\fcs1 \af1 \ltrch\fcs0 \f1\fs24\insrsid4588108 \tab \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 The city has applied \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 for a Community Development Block Grant to build additional sidewalks with funds made available by the recent economic stimulus money approved by Congress. Targeted areas include the area from the Centerville Square to the city park so that children using \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 the park can go to and from town safely, from the Centerville Square to the Post Office and to the Public Library. The community has done a great job in recognizing the need for sidewalks. However, the current developmental plan only uses sidewalks to con \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 n\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 ect recreational resources. I think the community could also benefit by expanding on the current plan to include sidewalks that connect many of the local business, restaurants, and other resources near town. The town of Centerville has fiscal challenges \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 a\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 lready, and it is unrealistic to assume it will be able to provide the funds within its budget to construct the sidewalks. Therefore, it will be vital to incorporate local groups and establish fundraising possibilities. The Historic Downtown Centerville g \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 r\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 oup might be persuaded to take this on as a project. One idea for fundraising might be to seek legacy contributions wherein families would donate a certain amount of money in memory of a family member. For their contribution a plaque with the family membe \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 r\loch\af1\dbch\af22\hich\f1 \rquote \loch\f1 s name would be placed in a section of sidewalk. For example, the two grocery stores both lie north of the Duck River in the eastern part of the city. For those without reliable transportation, it is difficult or impossible to do basic groce \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 r\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 y shopping, keep medical appointments, do banking, and other errands. There is currently only a Senior Citizen van and a Tenncare van. Use of these vehicles cannot presently be expanded because of the conditions of the grants with which they were initial \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 l\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 y purchased. A schedule could be cons \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 t\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 ructed with a designated driving route where each church was given a specific day to run the transportation services. A nominal fee could be charged to riders to cover the cost of fuel and insurance. This would provide an opportunity for service and commu \hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 n\hich\af1\dbch\af22\loch\f1 ity outreach among the church population while at the same time providing a much needed
